High Country Visions: Watauga K-12 Art Educators Exhibit at BRAHM - Dec. 16, 2024
By David Rogers. BLOWING ROCK, N.C. — Experiencing tragedy or disaster brings trauma and, hopefully, healing to follow. After Hurricane Helene swept through western North Carolina, including the High Country, the various affected communities rallied to accelerate the healing process from the storm’s utter devastation.
In its own unique way, Blowing Rock Art and History Museum has jumped into the healing movement, including the introduction of its most recent special exhibition, High Country Visions: K-12 Educators. The exhibit runs through Dec. 29. Admission to the museum is free.

Blowing Rock Art & History Museum unveils Reimagined Ginny Stevens Gallery - Nov. 18, 2024
The Monday after BRAHM opened our re-imagined Ginny Stevens Gallery featuring Blowing Rock, A History our curator Ian Gabriel Wilson was interviewed on WXII. Watch his interview below and make sure to come and see the exhibit for yourself! The exhibit features amazing interactive exhibits such as a Dial into History phone-booth, a postcard making station, and a sample of the gneiss that makes up the Blowing Rock formation.
