About our Docents
Docents are ambassadors for our exhibitions. They are knowledgeable guides who share the history of individual objects and artists, inspirational stories, and behind-the-scenes anecdotes as you explore the galleries.
The Museum staff and volunteers work to make BRAHM's exhibition tours educational, engaging, and fun! Ready for a private group tour? Contact Reagan Petty at PettyRE@BlowingRockMuseum.org with group size and type to schedule a tour.
We support our docents with ample training to build their confidence in leading tours.
Training typically begins in late fall and continues through the winter, with both in-person and remote options available. Docent-led tours are offered year-round, with the busiest season being summer and early fall.
Ready to be a Docent? Contact Visitor Services at (828) 295-9099 ext. 3001 or info@blowingrockmuseum.org to sign up today.
