Wolf Kahn: Barns, explores the artists’ use of paint to create interesting plays of light and color that examine the relationship of barns and the rural areas they call home. His Color Field barn series, many of which were loaned by the Jerald Melberg Gallery, present the interplay between barns and their environments, through his elaborate applications of pastel and oil painting. The barns showcased are representative of the landscape of our rural region and the dual-relationship of beauty and function in their form.
