Afternoon Art: Cherokee Bears
Every Tuesday 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Children ages 6 - 12 are invited to join us for creative art-making activities through a variety of media, from watercolor to clay. Each week features a famous artist, book, or theme to serve as inspiration and guidance for the art-making activity.
Bears are a large part of the Cherokee culture and appear in many of the stories and legends that the Cherokee people hold sacred. The culture currently recognizes contributions from the clans of Bird, Blue, Deer, Long Hair, Paint, Wild Potato, and Wolf. Learn about Cherokee culture and create work inspired by "The Bears Project".
Cost: $8 General Admission per family. Members (with current Household Membership and above) are always free. Not yet a member? Join today!
