Focus Tour for BRAHM Members: The Influence of French Impressionism in America

Join BRAHM docent Cathy Futral as she explores the influence of French Impressionism on the emergence of the genre in America. Using two of the Museum's current exhibitions—The Janet H. Wilson Collection and The Alexander Collection—as springboards, you will look closely at a number of paintings on display to understand the ways in which artists looked across the Atlantic, both emulating and sometimes departing from the precedents established by their European predecessors.
