About the Speaker
Dr. Don Presnell is a Senior Lecturer in First Year Seminar at Appalachian State University. He has taught such thematic iterations of the course as comics & graphic novels; Doctor Who; The Twilight Zone; the Peanuts comics of Charles Schulz; the Tintin comics of Hergé; and Dr. Seuss, among others. Presnell served as the Director of the App State Common Reading Program from 2019 to 2023. He is the author of A Critical History of Television’s The Twilight Zone, 1959-1964 (McFarland, 1998) and Wandering The Wild Wild West: A Critical Analysis of the CBS Television Series (McFarland, 2021).
