About the Speaker:
My first memory of archaeology is almost 60 years ago, listening to my father talk about plowing with a mule on the farm he grew up on (Cleveland County) and seeing arrow points churning up in the soil. I have been involved at the Berry Site since about 2007; first as a participant in helping to excavate and later helping EJF with various programs and activities. I support EJF due to their policy of "Public Archaeology". I am now on the Board of both the Exploring Joara Foundation and the North Carolina Archaeological Society.
