Join us for a transformative and immersive evening with electric cellist and soundtrack composer, Brianna Tam. Described as a "string quartet unto herself," using just her loop pedal, electric cello, and guitar pedals, Brianna transports listeners into stunning, otherworldly symphonic realms. With improvisation being a significant part of Brianna's set (as well as her life), no two shows of hers are ever alike. So be sure to catch this show since some of the music that is created may never be heard again!
This event is SOLD OUT! Please join us Saturday at the Appalachian Theatre
This event series is funded in part by a grant from South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the North Carolina Arts Council.

About the artist
Layer by layer, riveting solo electric cellist Brianna Tam uses her bare feet on her loop station in order to envelop captivated listeners in her epic symphonic realm, painting for them vivid aural images of her rich multi-dimensional universe. Her gift of building and illustrating worlds through sound has landed Brianna in the role of composer for the films Healing Waters (2022) and Wild Fire (post-prod), as well as for the game, The Gold Crow (2022). Brianna also recently signed on to be an in-house composer and artist for Artlist Original.
Brianna’s intimate, yet enthralling one-woman performances have garnered her a diverse array of shows and opportunities along the East Coast, including a mesmerizing TEDx Talk performance in North Carolina, an electrifying Metallica-cover concert in Florida, and an impromptu opening show at Madam’s Organ in Washington DC.
