Romare Bearden was an American artist, author, and songwriter. He worked with many types of media including cartoons, oils, and collages. Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Bearden grew up in New York City and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated from New York University in 1935. Create a collage inspired by Bearden.

Children ages 6 - 12 are invited to join us for creative art-making activities through a variety of media, from watercolor to clay. Each week features a famous artist, book, or theme to serve as inspiration and guidance for the art-making activity.
