North Carolina Folklife Institute Folklife from Home: The Toys and Times of Willard Watson

This week, our Programs and Outreach director, Willard Watson III shares some of his family history with the "Toys and Times of Willard Watson." No this isn't a shameless self promotion of our staff member's side hustle but a lovely examination of his ancestor and namesake's life and hand carved toys.

The video was produced as part of the North Carolina Folklife Institute's Folklife from Home series. The National Endowment for the Arts for the CARES Act grant that makes Folklife from Home possible, and to the North Carolina Arts Council for their crucial assistance and partnership! Willard's video is also made possible by the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area's support of NCFI's Jack Guy Collection of Beech Mountain Folklife.
