Revisit your art:

Catch up with any lessons you may have missed, or try your favorite lesson in a new way. Artists often draw and paint the same subject over and over again, finding new details or new perspectives each time. Monet painted a cathedral and haystacks in a field each over 30 times. Paul Cézanne painted Mont Ste. Victoire over 60 times from various views.

Notice the color changes or changes of view in the following images. Look at one of your pieces of art and think about what you might do differently. Maybe you want to try the tiger again with more leaves in front of his face. Or what if you try the Georgia O'Keefe skull again, with a different blue in the sky or a new flower position or shape.

Let’s look at some of Monet and Cézanne’s work:

You did it! Now don’t forget to email images of your work to Jennifer@BlowingRockMuseum.org
