Curator's Corner: All About Sir BRAHM

Did you get a chance to see our video with the dragon puppet, Sir BRAHM?

He's no ordinary puppet... Actually, he's part of our Education Collection at the museum! Sir BRAHM was created by artist Frank Sherrill, and is one of several puppets we have by the artist in our Education Collection.

About the Artist

Frank Sherrill was born in Statesville, NC and studied art and music throughout his life. He was a local in Blowing Rock, having moved to the area in 1984 after purchasing a lot from his friend and fellow artist, Philip Moose, in Artists Alley located down Highway 221 in town. There, he worked on his art and music and participated in Artist Alley exhibitions with his neighbors. He became known for his exquisitely painted floral watercolors, as well as his delightful felt puppets, like Sir BRAHM!

What did you all think of Sir BRAHM's presentation? Would you like to see more of him and his puppet friends? Let us know!
