Throwback Thursday: "Modern Visions, Modern Art: The Cone Sisters in North Carolina"

#tbt Thursday's are for throwbacks! (Right?🤷) We thought we could start the morning off by taking a look at one of our past exhibitions: "Modern Visions, Modern Art: The Cone Sisters in North Carolina."

Remember this one? It wasn't actually too long ago... just last fall, if you can believe it!

"Modern Visions, Modern Art" featured works from the famed modern art collection of sisters Dr. Claribel and Miss Etta Cone, including works by Henri Matisse. You may have *thought* you heard this story before, and you may have seen the bulk of the collection on display at The Baltimore Museum of Art, but "Modern Visions, Modern Art" showcased this collection in an entirely NEW way.

We explored the story of Etta and Claribel Cone, their collection, and their family through the lens of their time in North Carolina. Part of the collection was even donated to the Weatherspoon Art Museum in Greensboro, North Carolina!

We had fun with this one, to say the least. We hope you enjoyed it!
