Oral History Feature | Chris Capozzoli

A few years ago we sat down with local luthier, Chris Capozzoli to ask him why he enjoys his work.

"Being able to create something from start to finish, daydreaming about a project, going to bed thinking about it, bringing it to paper, making templates and making jigs and fixtures for it and then actually building the piece and having it done is so satisfying. I get to see the piece for a day or a week and then it’s gone forever, I can take pictures and look back and put that in my portfolio, but I don’t get to live with the piece. The clients who are super pleased, have an heirloom now they get to live with for the rest of their life and pass it on, that’s the second half of the pleasure."
