Hailing from Lincoln County, North Carolina, Burlon B. Craig left home to serve in the Navy during WWII. After the war Craig purchased Reinhardt Farm and Pottery Complex. To finance his pottery Craig worked full time in a furniture factory. For 25 years he kept the traditions of Catawba Valley Pottery alive. His work has been added to the Smithsonian Museum's collections.
