Walter Farndon was a plein-air painter born in Coventry, England. His work often depicted scenes of New England harbors and shorelines and was usually in an Impressionist or Expressionist style. He studied at the National Academy of Design where his work was subsequently displayed for many years. Farndon's work has also been exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum, the Salmagundi Club, and the National Arts Club.
