The Blowing Rock Art and History Museum offers a creative and educational experience for school and youth groups.
Possible activities include age-appropriate interactive gallery games that introduce young people to the concept of a Museum, including what to expect from a Museum visit, etiquette, etc. Activities will utilize the Museum's rotating exhibits to build upon the North Carolina Standard Courses of Study for a variety of subjects, including social studies, science, language arts and arts education. Among the activities currently available are scavenger hunts involving the Museum's exhibits and art projects.
Admission for student groups is $5 each. One chaperone for every ten students is required. Teachers and two chaperones are admitted free; additional chaperones pay $6.
