2017 Blowing Rock Church Tour
The Blowing Rock Art & History Museum is proud to present the 2017 Blowing Rock Church Tour. In conjunction with nine local churches, the self-guided tour is open to visitors who’d like to learn more about the history of each of these locations. Throughout its history, the community of Blowing Rock has been shaped by the faith of its residents as well as by the congregations of many of the churches included in the tour.
On Saturday, June 10th, St. Mary of the Hills Episcopal, Rumple Presbyterian, Blowing Rock Methodist, Mount Bethel, First Independent Baptist, Sandy Flat Baptist, Church of the Epiphany and St. Mark’s Lutheran will open their doors to visitors to view their interiors as well as learn about their history. Several churches will also offer a musical performance. The tour will end at BRAHM with a live concert starting at 5:00 p.m. featuring St. Mary’s choir and a Trio from Independent Baptist Church. Read more about the Church Tour Concert.
The Blowing Rock Church Tour brochure with details, dates, performance times and a map for the self-guided tour will be available at the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum and at the churches starting in May.
