From Fresh Chèvre to Bloomy Rinds: Cheesemakers of WNC

Thursday, Apr 20, 6:00pm to 7:00pm

Blowing Rock Art & History Museum

159 Chestnut St.

Free for Museum members and $5 for Non-members

Kick off Savor Blowing Rock at BRAHM and meet makers of artisanal cheese from four Western North Carolina creameries and dairies.

Have you ever wondered about the difference between fresh and aged cheese? Feta vs. Chévre? Or where a bloomy rind comes from? What is a cave-aged cheese? Cheesemakers will discuss all of these things, as well as their experiences making and selling cheese. We will be joined by cheesemakers from the following dairies and creameries:

Blue Ridge Mountain Creamery

Heritage Homestead

Spinning Spider Creamery

Yellow Branch Cheese

After the talk, cheese will be available to sample and purchase!
