Willard's Wonderings, Watauga Wanderings: Sustaining the Watauga Humane Society

  • Blowing Rock Art & History Museum 159 Ginny Stevens Lane Blowing Rock, NC, 28605 United States (map)

This installment of Willard's Wonderings will focus on the Watauga Humane Society, Willard will be joined by Ashlee Yepez, Director of Shelter Operations, and Courtney Taylor, Director of Development. Their conversation will focus on the Watauga Humane Society’s no-kill mission, their work of caring for more than 1,700 animals each year, and the role the community plays in sustaining the organization.

Through stories of lifesaving work, they will explore what it truly takes to remain no-kill, including the time, training, resources, and community partnerships that make second chances possible. The presentation will also highlight community care programs such as spay/neuter services, vaccine clinics, and the pet food pantry, while sharing meaningful ways supporters can get involved through volunteering, fostering, attending events, and giving.
